AGM ELECTION RESULTS

Thank you to all of you that attended the AGM last night. Meeting minutes will be posted to the website on Monday, September 25th.

Three executive positions were up for election and we’d like to congratulate our Simon Traskey (VP Operations), Mark Dunn (VP Marketing) and Angie Wolfe (Secretary) who have filled those spots. Tyler Crompton has been appointed as Head Coach for the upcoming season and Jamie Scott has been appointed as Director at Large. Thank you to all for volunteering your time.

We are also excited to announce that we have added two new appointed voting positions to our Executive Committee . Our association has grown quite a bit over the last few years and we have made the decision to assign two coordinators to oversee the divisions and make sure they are running smoothly.

The two new positions as well as the positions of equipment manager and apparel manager are all in need to volunteers to fill those roles. If you are interested in helping with any of these appointed positions, we ask that you email vpoperations@chilliwacklacrosse.com with your name and position you are interested in . We will be accepting emails until 12pm in October 5th. Please see below to position descriptions.

Director/Coordinator of Mini Tyke, Tyke & Novice Divisions
The Director/Coordinator of Mini Tyke/Tyke/Novice divisions shall be responsible for all duties concerning their assigned divisions. This position reports to the Vice President of Operations and shall;
a) Act as a liaison between division parents, coaches, managers & the executive committee
b) Oversee day to day problems in assigned divisions
c) Actively participate in the organization of assigned divisions of Minor Lacrosse within the auspices of CMLA
d) Arrange (with the assistance of the Head Coach) certification of Coaches in assigned divisions
e) Register teams for Provincial play downs in his/her divisions (if applicable)
f) Coordinate evaluation sessions for division
g) Coordinate the team selection process in division
h) Email all returning players in assigned division that have not registered to remind them to register
i) Email all players in assigned division who did not re-register with the association to determine why they aren’t returning

Director/Coordinator of Peewee, Bantam & Midget Divisions
The Director/Coordinator of Peewee, Bantam & Midget divisions shall be responsible for all duties concerning their assigned divisions. This position reports to the Vice President of Operations and shall;
a) Act as a liaison between division parents, coaches, managers & the executive committee
b) Oversee day to day problems in assigned divisions
c) Actively participate in the organization of assigned divisions of Minor Lacrosse within the auspices of CMLA
d) Arrange (with the assistance of the Head Coach) certification of Coaches in assigned divisions

Equipment Manager
The Equipment Manager shall be responsible for inventory and maintenance of all CMLA equipment. This position reports to the Vice President of Operations and shall;
a) Be responsible for distribution of all necessary equipment at the beginning of the season and for collection of that same equipment at the end of the season.
b) Ensure proper storage of equipment during the off-season
c) Provide an accurate inventory of all equipment before the start of the season to the Executive Committee
d) Perform any necessary repairs at any point before and during the season
e) Purchase any equipment and supplies deemed necessary and approved by the Executive Committee

Apparel Manager
The Apparel Manager shall be responsible for inventory and maintenance of all CMLA merchandise and apparel. This position reports to the Vice President of Operations and shall;
a) Be responsible for distribution of apparel order forms to team management at the start of the season and periodically throughout the year
b) Collect completed order forms and forward all payments to Treasurer
c) Fill and return completed orders to team management for distribution to parents
c) Ensure proper storage of apparel and merchandise during the off-season
d) Provide an accurate inventory of all apparel and merchandise before the start of the season to the Executive Committee
e) Purchase any apparel and merchandise to have on hand as deemed necessary and approved by the Executive Committee
